Israel's Shin Bet security service has recently uncovered three Hamas networks in the West Bank which are suspected of being responsible for a series of attacks that killed five Israelis, the Shin Bet said on Monday.
The security service has arrested 117 Hamas activists suspected of involvement in the three networks, which the Shin Bet said are located in the Ramallah area, north of Hebron and southwest of Hebron.
Two of the attacks were carried out during a calmness period, which Hamas agreed to observe under an agreement with Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas and with other Palestinian factions.
Senior Shin Bet officials said despite Hamas' stated commitment to calmness, the group's networks have continued to carry out anti- Israeli attacks.
