font size

Japanese Agriculture Minister Mineichi Iwanaga on Monday said U.S. proposals designed to kick start the Doha Round of global trade talks did not provide a basis for further negotiations.

"Japan is not able to accept the U.S. proposal of domestic support as a basis for further discussions," Iwanaga said in Zurich, Switzerland, where about 15 key members of World Trade Organization (WTO) gathered in a bid to break deadlock in world trade talks.
