From October 12, US Treasury Secretary John Snow will lead a delegation, composed of top financial officials, to start a visit to China. This is the first group of US high-level officials to visit China since China readjusted its renminbi exchange mechanism on July 21 this year.

The delegation will include US Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan, US Treasury Secretary John Snow, Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Chris Cox, Reuben Jeffery, chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, US Deputy Treasury Secretary Timothy D. Adams and David Loevinger, a newly-named US permanent financial attache to China.

Snow's delegation will start their visit to China from October 12, and on the same day, the delegation will visit the Shanghai Stock Exchange and China Foreign Exchange Trading Center. The next day they will travel to Chengdu. After G20 meeting, Snow and his delegation will travel to Beijing and attend the 17th annual talks of the Sino-US Joint Economic Commission.
