Fifty Chinese Americans become US mayors
font size

The United States is a multinational country, where there are about 2.7 million Chinese, accounting for 1 per cent of the total population in the nation. Due to their wisdom, diligence and paying attention to education, quite a part of them are outstanding and become excellent in the US society.

Recently, about 50 of them have become mayors of medium and small cities. The situation makes the descendents of other ethnic minorities in the country look at them with new eyes, according to the overseas edition of People's Daily on October 11.
