Quotes from astronauts on Shenzhou-VI
font size

The following are impressive quotes of the Chinese astronauts who are traveling the space for the country's second manned space mission:

"Our biggest wish is a successful Shenzhou-6 mission, and to let our national anthem resounds through outer space."

-- Fei Junlong, one of the two astronauts on the mission, said before the launch of the Shenzhou-6 spacecraft.

"We will fulfill the task. See you in Beijing."

"See you Beijing."

-- Fei and Nie Haisheng, his partner, saluted to the chief commander of the space program shortly before the blast-off.

"We're feeling good, over."

-- The Shenzhou-6 crew reported to the ground control center minutes after the blast-off.

"Thank you. Thank you for your support. I am so grateful."

-- Fei said to his wife during a space-ground conversation about half day after the blast-off.

"I will definitely fulfill all missions, and will report outstanding results to my family and friends and the Chinese people at large."

-- Fei said to his wife during the conversation.

"It's okay here."

-- Fei responded to his 14-year-old son's question about his feeling in the zero-gravity environment.

"I'm feeling good. Thanks for your concern."

-- Nie said to his wife Nie Jielin, in the space-ground conversation.

"It's marvelous around here. The earth looks beautiful."

-- Nie clapped and said after when his 11-year-old daughter sang "Happy Birthday" to him, as Nie's birthday on Chinese lunar calendar falls on Thursday.
