Second China-ASEAN Eminent Persons Group Meeting closes

The Second Meeting of the China-ASEAN Eminent Persons Group Meeting closed in Kuala Lumpur Thursday.

The meeting recalled and reviewed the development course of China-ASEAN relations and experiences, and proposed relevant policy recommendations on the future relations between two sides in the coming 15 years.

The meeting also adopted the China-ASEAN Eminent Persons Group Report and decided to submit the report to the Ninth China-ASEAN Summit, which will be held in Malaysia in December this year.

The meeting opened here Wednesday. Former Chinese Vice-Premier Qian Qichen, who is also the eminent person from the China side, and other ten eminent persons from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) side attended the two-day meeting.
