Eighth World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention concludes

The three-day Eighth World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention concluded on Wednesday night at the Seoul International Exhibition Center, according to People's Daily Overseas Edition on October 13.

Lee Hae Chan, honorable adviser of the 8th World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention (WCEC) and South Korean Prime Minister, delivered a speech at the closing ceremony, saying that the convention has created opportunities for the Republic of Korea and Chinese entrepreneurs to establish strategic partnership facing the future. South Korean enterprises will possess the most competitiveness in the world if their manufacturing industrial basis, technology, and information communication and bioengineering techniques are combined with the capital and inter-personal relations of Chinese and overseas Chinese.

Yan An, chairman of Japan Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, received the WCEC flag conveyed at the closing ceremony from the Korea Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which will host the 9th WCEC. It is reported that at the convention, South Korea attracted an investment worth 830 million US dollars from Chinese businessmen and signed export contracts and letters of export intent worthy of 580 million US dollars.
