font size

The national individual credit database has pooled 34.75 million personal credit records with 47.52 million accounts, disclosed Dai Genyou, director of the Credit Management Bureau at the People's Bank of China, on October 13 in Shanghai, reports the International Finance News on October 14.

By the end of September, the credit balance of loans reached 2,140 billion yuan. It is reported that in August, China had its individual credit database available at all the networked commercial banks around the country. By September, the browsing volume reached up to 370,000 and is expected to come to 100,000 for the fourth quarter of this year.

Dai Genyou also said a national enterprise credit reporting system is scheduled to be available for browsing at four provinces and municipalities by the yearend. And it is hopeful that a nationwide network will be available in the first half of next year.
