Chinese NPC vice chairman meets Catholic Archbishop of Washington D.C.

Fu Tieshan, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress, met with Theodore McCarrick, the Catholic Archbishop of Washington D.C. and his party, in Beijing Wednesday.

The two sides exchanged views on improving relations between the churches of the two countries.

Fu is also chairman of the Catholic Patriotic Association of China and acting chairman of the Bishops Conference of Catholic of China.
