China sent its fourth batch of relief materials to quake-hit Pakistan from north China's port city of Tianjin Friday night.

It was the largest batch of relief materials so far, including blankets, tents, mini-sized dynamotors, emergency lamps and drinking water, totally valued at two million US dollars.

The first two batches of relief materials had been sent to Pakistan from Beijing on Sunday noon and Monday afternoon, respectively, and the third, from Shijiazhuang, capital of north China's Hebei Province Tuesday afternoon.

A strong earthquake, measuring 7.6 on the Richter scale, rocked Pakistan, India and Afghanistan last Saturday morning. According to latest reports, the death toll has risen to 25,000, and is likely to rise further.

Chinese leaders have sent condolences to the leaders of Pakistan and India and swiftly made the decision to offer 6.2-million-US-dollars in emergency aid to Pakistan.

A 49-member rescue team from China had arrived in Pakistan Sunday and started work right away.
