China's export of electro-mechanical products is expected to top 400 billion US dollars this year, an official said in Guangzhou Sunday at the on-going 98th China Export Commodities Fair.
China has seen steady export of electro-mechanical products over the past several years, accounting for 53-55 percent of China's total export, said Liu Meikun, vice-chairman of the Electro-mechanical Products Import and Export Association of China.
Statistics from the association show that China's export of electro-mechanical products reached 298.98 billion US dollars in the first nine months, or 54.7 percent of China's total exports for the same period and a year on year rise of 33 percent.
Liu said China exported 259.41 billion US dollars of electro-mechanical products in the January-August period and imported 214.55 billion US dollars of electro-mechanical products during the same period, posing a trade surplus 44.86 million US dollars.
