China will send its ninth batch of relief goods to the quake-hit Pakistan before Wednesday, said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Kong Quan in Beijing Tuesday.
China has already sent eight batches of relief materials including blankets, tents and mini-sized dynamos weighing 200 tons in total, Kong said.
Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao said on Oct. 10 that China would provide help to the quake-hit countries whenever requests were raised while meeting high-ranking diplomatic officials from Pakistan, Afghanistan and India.
Kong told the regular press conference that the Chinese government has provided Pakistan with 24,000 water purifying tablets and 5,000 bottles of chlorine-made disinfectors by Tuesday.
