Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing met with visiting Russian Security Council Secretary Igor Ivanov Thursday in Beijing.
The two sides spoke highly of bilateral cooperation in the fields of politics, economy and trade, energy, military and investment.
They also highlighted collaboration within the United Nations and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) framework and on other international and regional issues, expressing the commitment that China and Russia will make a concerted effort to achieve the success of the meeting of the two heads of state and the SCO summit next year.
Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Dai Bingguo also met with Ivanov on the same day.
Ivanov is here as guest of Chinese State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan to attend the second round of Sino-Russian Strategic Security Talks.
