font size

The housing price in China's Shanghai property market continues to decline in September, down 1.2 percent compared with August, according to a report released by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) here Thursday.

Shanghai saw the steepest price decline among 70 major cities in China, said an NDRC official.

Another 14 cities reported price drops in September compared with a month earlier.

The average price of these 70 cities went up 0.6 percent from a month earlier, a slower price hike, according to the report.

Beijing's housing price in September went up 0.5 percent from August, roughly the same price rise as the national average.
