House price hike slows down

Latest survey by National Development and Reform Commission and National Bureau of Statistics shows that house prices in 70 cities across the country have increased by 5.5 percent than that in the same period last year, or 0.6 percent than that a month earlier, with the rise slowing down slightly. There are two cities with the price hike higher than 10 percent, namely, Huhhot 14.6 percent and Qingdao 11 percent; and there are 15 cities where house prices slowed down a little bit, among which five cities with the sharpest prices reduction are shanghai 1.2 percent, Huizhou 0.8 percent, Baotou 0.7 percent, Dangdong 0.7 percent and Jinzhou 0.7 percent.

Prices of the newly built commercial houses went up by 6.2 percent than that in the same period last year, and up 0.5 percent than that last month. It is 0.6 percentage point lower than the year-on-year increase in August. The price of economically affordable housing, ordinary housing as well as high-price housing recorded an annual increase of 3.4 percent, 7.2 percent and 5.0 percent respectively or up 0.1 percent, 0.5 percent and 0.7 percent from last month.

There are mainly three cities where the price hike of newly built commercial houses went beyond ten percent, namely Huhhot 17.5 percent, Qingdao 11.7 percent and Sanya 10.6 percent. The price of second-hand houses recorded an annual increase of 6.4 percent and a monthly increase of 1.2 percent from last month. Eight cities with the price hike higher than ten percent are Zhengzhou 20.6 percent, Xuzhou 12.3 percent, Dalian 11.1 percent, Beijing 10.8 percent, Shenyang 10.6 percent, Dangdong 10.4 percent, Qingdao 10.2 percent and Ganzhou 10.2 percent.
