Chinese top advisor meets Nepalese chief of staff
font size

Chinese top advisor Jia Qinglin met with a Nepalese military delegation on Friday in Beijing, vowing to further promote bilateral relations.

Jia, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), told Nepalese Chief of Staff Pyar Jung Thapa that China appreciates supports from Nepal on issues of Taiwan, Tibet and human rights.

"The Chinese government attaches importance to the long-lasting and neighborly partnership with Nepal," Jia said, noting the two countries share a 1,500-year history of friendship.

Thapa said that China, as real friend of Nepal, respects the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Nepal and never interferes in the country's internal affairs.

With combined efforts of the two sides, the relationship between the two countries and two armies will be pushed to a new high, he noted.
