Chinese Vice Premier Hui Liangyu met Friday with Mark Sanford, governor of South Carolina of the United States.

They discussed Sino-US relations, trade, and economic and agricultural cooperation.

Hui said the Chinese government supports the cooperation between Chinese provinces and US states and between companies as a means of promoting bilateral trade and economic ties.

Sanford, who is here as guest of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, said he will contribute more to the sound development of US-China economic relations.
