font size

The third China Agricultural Trade Fair ended Friday in Beijing with a total trade volume of 22 billion yuan (about 2.7 billion US dollars), 2 billion yuan more than in last year's fair.

According to the organization committee of the fair, Henan, Jilin and Guangdong provinces took the lead in signing orders and agreements on farm products.

These orders and contracts involve a wide range of farm products, from grain and related products, to meat, aquatic products and fruits, and fertilizers, according to the committee. Most farm products are green food or organic food, said the committee.

Sponsored by the Ministry of Agriculture, the 5-day fair attracted more than 600 domestic companies and 17 overseas companies.

A total of 250,000 businesspeople visited the fair.
