font size

The Beijing Air Catering Company (BAC), China's first joint venture company, has been operating for 25 years this month since its establishment.

The BAC now serves over 280 flights of 50 domestic and international airline companies, offering over 40,000 meals per day.

In the past 25 years, the BAC increased food research investment and promoted various types of cuisine according to different national habits and regional characters.

In recent years, China's aviation industry has been developing rapidly. According to the International Civil Aviation Organization, China's total aviation transportation turnover ranked third in the world and is expected to rank second. China's air catering service will encounter more challenges in the future due to continuous aviation increase, said Gao Hongfeng, vice director of the General Administration of Civil Aviation of China.
