Jiangsu's runner Qin Wangping took the gold medal in the women's 200m race at the 10th Chinese National Games on Friday.
Despite defeat in the 100 meters final, Qin outsprinted Liu Li of Heilongjiang in the last 50 meters won the title in 23.50 seconds. The 23-year-old fainted after touching the finish line and was stretchered off the track.
"I felt uncomfortable after training in rains this moring. I fainted after the dash, but all I need is a little rest and everything would be fine," said Qin afterward.
"My next goal is to help Jiangsu win the women's 4X100m gold, and I'll try my best."
Liu had to settle for the silver in 23.69. The bronze medal went to Ren Xiufen of Shandong in 23.95.
