Equatorial Guinean President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo on Saturday visited northeast China's port city of Dalian in Liaoning Province.

Dalian Mayor Xia Deren told Obiang that the city government will continuously support local companies to invest in Equatorial Guinea.

Obiang appreciated the contribution made by Chinese enterprises to the economic progress of Equatorial Guinea and his country is longing for more cooperation with Dalian.

Obiang arrived in Beijing last Wednesday for a six-day working visit. Besides Beijing and Dalian, he will also visit China's economic hub Shanghai.
