Hosts Jiangsu wins women's 4x100m relay at National Games

Newly-crowned "flying woman" in China Qin Wangping anchored hosts Jiangsu to victory in the women's 4x100 meters relay final in Nanjing on Saturday at the 10th National Games.

Silver medalists at the last National Games in 2001, the Jiangsu team lived up to expectations of the home crowds, clocked a fastest time in 44.19 seconds.

The quartet from Guangxi had to settle for second place at 44. 25 seconds, worse than their performance in the qualifying round. They entered the final with the fastest qualifying time of 44.02 seconds.

Heilongjiang placed third at 44.67 seconds.

The 23-year-old Qin had won both women's 100m and 200m titles at the Games.
