11 lamas awarded advanced degrees on Tibetan Buddhism

After one-year senior course guided by eminent monks in Beijing, 11 lamas in China have become the first school of monks awarded advanced degrees on Tibetan Buddhism by Chinese Tibetan-language Higher Institute of Buddhism Oct.18, 2005.These 11 monks were selected last year from temples in provinces of Yunnan, Qinghai, Sichuan and Gansu as well as Tibet Autonomous Region.
