Tianjin seeks more Italian investments
font size

China and Italy can further their economic cooperation if more Italian investments are made in China, especially the northern city of Tianjin, as the two economies are rather complementary, the Tianjin mayor said here on Saturday.

Mayor Dai Xianglong said at a reception for the Tianjin Week of China in Italy, that in recent years, Tianjin, an important city on the Bohai gulf, has been closely connected with Italy through trade, and Italian entrepreneurs are welcome to invest there.

He praised the close ties between the two countries in trade, education, culture and other fields.

The Tianjin Week of China in Italy, which started on Friday and will last until Oct. 27, will present to the Italians Tianjin's culture, history, economy and other aspects to enable them to learn more about the city.
