KMT honorary chairman continues mainland tour in SW China

Lien Chan, honorary chairman of the Chinese Kuomintang (KMT) party, left Zhangjiajie of central China's Hunan Province on Monday evening and headed for Chengdu, capital of Southwest China's Sichuan Province, to continue his tour in the Chinese mainland.

Lien arrived in Zhangjiajie on Oct. 22 after his visit to east China's Shanghai Municipality.

During his two-day visit, Lien went to famous scenic spots in Zhangjiajie, under the arrangement of the Taiwan Work Office of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee.

Lien will visit Jiuzhaigou of Sichuan Province to conclude his mainland tour.

This is Lien's second visit to the Chinese mainland this year.Previously, he made a historic visit to the mainland from April 26 to May 3 at the invitation of Hu Jintao, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee.
