Harbin Engineering University, based in Harbin, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, has invented such a new type of robot. The robot, can attach itself to the underwater part of a ship with its double-caterpillar permanent magnate. ![]() With steel brushes at the front, the robot can clear rust and marine organisms on the surface of a ship thus extending the lifespan of vessels. |
