The Standing Committee of the tenth National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislature, issued an announcement on Thursday, saying that four NPC deputies, who are suspects of crimes and bribery, were deprived of their titles.

Wang Zhaoyao, former vice president of the east China's Anhui Provincial People's Political Consultative Conference, was dismissed from office. Wang was a suspect of crime, the announcement said.

Central China's Hubei Provincial legislature has removed the NPC titles of Ma Ronghua, deputy director of the Provincial Development and Reform Commission, and Chen Mingjie, board chairperson of a local steel company. They are both suspects of bribery, the announcement said.

South China's Hainan provincial legislature accepted a resignation of Wang Houhong from his post. Wang, former deputy director of the standing committee of the Hainan Provincial People's Congress, was forced to resign because of "violating disciplines", according to the NPC Standing Committee's announcement.
