Iran condemns Indian blasts as inhumane
font size

Iran on Sunday condemned the fatal chain explosions in the Indian capital New Delhi, terming them as an inhumane action, the official IRNA news agency reported.

"We condemn the New Delhi blasts which resulted in the killing of a number of innocent people. To us, the explosions run counter to humane principles," Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid-Reza Asefi was quoted as saying.

Asefi voiced sympathy of the Iranian government and nation with the Indian government and nation and the families of the victims.

Three blasts consecutively rocked crowded shopping centers in New Delhi on Saturday, killing at least 61 people and wounding nearly 200 others.

A militant group named Inqilab in India-controlled Kashmir claimed responsibility for the blasts on Sunday.
