Sri Lanka condemns Indian bomb blasts
font size

The Sri Lankan government has expressed deep distress over the bomb blasts in New Delhi on Saturday evening that have caused significant casualties.

This terrorist violence is even more outrageous and horrific since it appears to have been entirely targeted at the civilian population, even as they were preparing for Deepawali and Eid, the two significant religious festivals, Daily News Monday quoted a Foreign Ministry press release as saying.

The Sri Lanka High Commission in New Delhi has reported that it has not received any information as yet of any Sri Lankan casualties.

The High Commission is continuing to monitor the developments and is in contact with Indian authorities to obtain further information in this regard, the report said.
