A military exercise of the Multinational Peacekeeping Forces of Southeast Europe (MPFSEE) started Tuesday in Romania's port city of Constanta.

The exercise, which took place in the MPFSEE office building, is aimed at improving commanding ability of the MPFSEE headquarters and its branches as well as the coordination between the headquarters and its troops, Romanian Press Agency reported Tuesday.

A total of 170 soldiers from Romania, Bulgaria, Albania, Greece, Italy, Macedonia and Turkey, all MPFSEE members, are taking part in the four-day drill conducted on computers.

The MPFSEE was founded in 1998 with the headquarters in Constanta at the Black Sea. The United States, Slovenia and Croatia are observers of the organization.
