Microsoft to build 10th technology center in SW China city

World software giant Microsoft will build its 10th technology center in Guiyang, capital of southwest China's Guizhou Province, the company said here Wednesday.

The center will undertake technical and counseling services forvarious local governments and businesses and help upgrade the IT industry of Guizhou, said Microsoft vice president Timothy Chen at the signing ceremony of a cooperation memo between Microsoft (China) Company Limited and the Guiyang municipal government.

"Guiyang has a very favorable environment for investment and I believe the cooperation will bring a win-win result," said Chen, also CEO of Microsoft Greater China Region.
