Chinese vice premier to attend the World Summit on the Information Society

At the invitation of the Tunisian Government and Secretary General of the United Nations Kofi Annan, Huang Ju, member of the Standing Committee of Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice premier of the State Council will attend the Tunis Phase of the World Summit on the Information Society, announced Kong Quan, Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Thursday.

At the invitation of the Cuinean Government, President Festus Nogae of Botswana and Prime Minister Jacques Sylla of Madagascar, Huang will also pay official visits to Guinea, Botswana and Madagascar from Nov. 14 to 24, Kong told the regular press conference.
