Chinese senior legislator Lu Yongxiang met a Latvian delegation in Beijing on Monday headed by Erika Zommere, head of the Latvia-China Interparliamentary Cooperation Group.
They exchanged views on bilateral relations and other questions of common concern in a warm and friendly atmosphere, according to sources with the Chinese Association for International Understanding (CAIU), which invited the Latvian delegation.
Lu is vice chairman of the National People's Congress, China's top legislative body. He is also President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and vice president of the CAIU.
