    French govt officials, police meet on actions against riots

    French Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy interviewed by the press after a meeting, Nov. 6, 2005. The Minister and French Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin held a meeting with police on that day on the countermeasures against the riots in Paris suburb. The riots continued to exasperate on Nov. 6 and more than 200 French cities had been affected. More than 800 people across the country have been summoned for trial by police and over 20 people in the capital put in jail.
