Kim Gye-gwan, head of the delegation of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) to the six-party talks, said here Tuesday his country cherishes the joint statement issued during the fourth round of talks and is willing to make "sincere efforts" during the fifth round talks.
Kim was speaking at Pyongyang Sun-an Airport before traveling to Beijing to attend the talks concerning the nuclear issue of the Korean Peninsula, which is scheduled to start on Wednesday.
