Jordanian King Abdullah II condemned the bombing attacks that rocked three hotels in Amman Wednesday night as criminal acts, the Jordanian TV reported.

The attacks are criminal acts committed by a few of astray individuals, King Abdullah, who is visiting Kazakhstan, was quoted as saying in a statement.

These terrorist attacks would not sway Amman playing a role in combating terror, said the king, vowing to take those responsible for the attack to justice, as Jordan would "remain a safe country".

At least 53 people were killed in the blasts that rocked three hotels of Grand Hyatt, Radisson SAS and Days Inn in the Jordanian capital Wednesday evening, Deputy Prime Marwan Moasher said on the state television.

He decided to suspend work in ministries and other civil service bodies on Thursday.

A number of NGOs have decided to hold marches in Amman and other Jordanian cities on Thursday to protest the terrorist blasts.
