China's biggest bank opens new website
font size

China's biggest bank has opened a new website both in the Chinese and English languages just two weeks after it transformed into a joint-stock company.

The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) Limited website covers the columns of "About US," "Products and Services," "Investor Relations," "Corporate Governance" and "Careers."

It is designed to help promote the ICBC's enterprise image, disclose information to the international capital market and serve potential global institutional and private investors, a bank spokesman said Thursday.

The bank is on the track of selling shares to strategic investors, launching initial public offerings and getting listed in the stock market.

Its spokesman said the ICBC's global branch websites will be largely involved in publicizing local business and providing online transaction services.
