Jordanian King Abdullah II on Friday offered condolence over Chinese victims in Wednesday's triple suicide bombings in the Jordanian capital of Amman.
During a meeting with a Chinese delegation, which arrived here earlier in the day to deal with the aftermath of the killing of three Chinese nationals in the bombing attacks, the king said, "I can hardly express in words sorrow you suffered ... but I want to say that my people is with you and you are not alone."
"We have all suffered from terrorism," he said, stressing the kingdom will not bow to it.
The king also praised Sino-Jordanian relations, while voicing confidence that the event will not affect friendly ties between the two countries.
He said he expects to meet family members of the victims during his visit to China next month.
For his part, Zhao Gang, head of the delegation and vice president of China's National Defense University, conveyed greetings from Chinese President Hu Jintao to the king and appreciated Jordan's efforts to rescue Chinese nationals.
The delegation left Jordan after a five-hour stay. The Jordan military held a formal ceremony for the Chinese victims in the airport.
The suicide attacks killed at least 57 people and injured over 100.
