World largest aircraft Airbus A380 touched down in Singapore on Nov. 11, kicking off its first Asia and Pacific tour.
After Singapore, A380 will fly to airports of Kuala Lumpa, Sidney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
It is the first time for A380 to leave Europe.
According to sources with the company, Airbus is actively communicating and cooperating with Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), airports and operators to prepare for a smooth landing of A380 aircrafts on China's market.
Sources say, Hong Kong International Airport At Chek Lap Kok, Guangzhou New Baiyun International Airport and Shanghai International Airport have been completely compatible with A380 planes, and so will Beijing Capital International Airport after expansion to be completed before 2008 Olympic Games.
Official with Airbus said on Nov. 11 that if the CAAC and airport authorities concerned approve it, Airbus expects to conduct compatibility test for A380 in China to better ensure its successful operation in the Chinese market.
