Chinese senior legislator Lu Yongxiang met a Japanese delegation on Monday headed by Tsunoda Giichi, vice-president of the House of Councilors of the Diet of Japan.

Tsunoda was invited by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) of China for a good-will visit to China starting from November 14.

Lu is vice chairman of the NPC Standing Committee, China's top legislative body. He is also president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
