The Halls in the Forbidden City
The palaces in the Forbidden City is the biggest and best-preserved ancient architecture group in today's China. The palaces, built along a central axis extending southwards to Yongdingmen and northwards to the Bell Tower and Drum Tower, are neatly planned and boast an extremely magnificent appearance. As symbols of China's cultural tradition, the grand and sumptuous palaces are incomparable masterpieces in terms of layout and appearance.
