Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev will hold talks with Ukrainian and Georgian leaders before presidential elections in this Central Asian nation next month, the Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.
The president will start a three-day official visit to Ukraine on Wednesday and Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli will visit Kazakhstan next week, according to the ministry.
Kazakhstan will sign a series of agreements with the two ex-Soviet countries aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation, it said.
Nazarbayev will seek a new seven-year term in the Dec. 4 vote. The president has pledged that the upcoming election would be free and fair.
Before the upcoming visit, he has also strengthened the communications with the Ukrainian and Georgian leaders through telephone conversation, according to the Foreign Ministry.
