Dumping exists in the import of ethylene-propylene-non-conjugated diene rubber from the United States, the Republic of Korea and the Netherlands, which has caused substantial damage to Chinese industry, according to a preliminary ruling of the Ministry of Commerce released on Wednesday.
China's Ministry of Commerce began its anti-dumping investigation against this imported chemical mainly used in the construction, wire and cable, and auto industries on Aug. 10, 2004.
According to the preliminary ruling, importers of this chemical made in the above three countries should offer deposits to Chinese customs at rates between 3 to 43 percent from Wednesday.
