27 Chinese brands are among 2005 world's top 500 famous brands selected by World Organization of Brands and US-China Economic Trade &Investment General Chamber of Commerce.

The list was revealed in Macao November 14, with brands selected from more than 1000 brands of 80 countries.

Chinese brands such as Sinopec, China Mobile, Haier Group, China Life Insurance, State Grid Corporation of China, Agriculture Bank of China, China Telecom, Shanghai Baosteel Group Corporation Cheung Kong Holdings and Taiwan Honhai are among the list.

The main criteria of the selection is based on 21 indices such as brand-building based on independent development, management, market potential in the global market.
