Commission and a state councilor, made the remarks at a meeting with Valeriu Plesca, Defence Minister of Moldova.

He said bilateral relations have developed in a sound and stable manner since the two sides established a diplomatic relationship.

Under the new situation, Cao stressed, it is in the common interest of the two nations to sustain and drive forward friendly cooperation.

Cao also briefed the guest on China's economy and its stance on international issues.
