This year's Miss Tourism Model of the World has been postponed to early next year, due to the time schedule clash with host country Tanzania's general elections.
The Miss World Tourism event has been re-scheduled for February 25 to be held in Arusha of northern Tanzania, according to Gideon Chipungahelo who is the director of the event.
The beauty contest, originally slated for December 10, was postponed because of the general elections are set for December 14.
Some 110 countries from around the world are expected to take part in the Miss World Tourism contest that will be broadcast live in about 150 countries.
