Sources from Beijing's largest auto market -- Yayuncun market said the capital city expects to see a boom of new car sales at the end of this year, pushing the annual sales volume to exceed 350,000 units.
Latest Statistics from the Beijing Market Association said that by the end of October, about 310,000 new units have been sold in Beijing, equal to the total of last year.
Among the sold, about 227,000 units are saloon cars, more than 70 percent of the total sales, and the proportion has been close to the average 80 percent in the developed countries, said the association.
The auto market in Beijing is getting mature, said Qie Xiaogang, an expert of the Yayuncun market. He said that stable price and mature concept of consumption among the buyers are the main factors for the increasing sales.
The booming auto market in Beijing also promoted the growth of national auto market.
According to the statistics released by the China Automotive Industry Association (CAIA), China's auto production and sales volume reached 4.62 million units and 4.59 million units in the first ten months this year, up 9.18 percent and 11.04 percent year-on-year respectively.
Zhu Yiping, dean of the CAIA information department, forecasts that both the total output and sales volume of the national auto market will exceed 5.5 million units the whole year, demonstrating the recovery of the market.
