Hong Kong's first specialized fashion accessories exhibition -- China Sourcing Fair will be held from April 15 to 18 in the Asia World-Expo, which is scheduled to open at the end of this December.

Sarah Beneche, director of Global Sources, said at a press briefing that the Global Sources, host of the fair, has reserved full space of the new exhibition center -- Asia World-Expo for four times next year and two of them will be China Sourcing Fair -- Fashion Accessories in next spring and autumn respectively.

The Hong Kong's new state-of-the-art exhibition venue -- AsiaWorld-Expo is one of the largest, most modern venues in Asia, featuring 70,000 square meters of ground-level, pillar-free exhibition space.

She said the new exhibition venue near the Hong Kong Airport offers exhibition organizers good opportunities to host a large- sized exhibition that could both meet the requirement of both exhibitors and buyers as well.

She said the fair will feature casual and fashion handbags, footwear, hats and caps, fashion belts, sunglasses, fashion watches and other kinds of products.

Chuck Armitage, general manager of Global Sources exhibitions, said over 3,000 buyers from world countries and regions have already pre-registered for the spring fair, adding about 50 percent of exhibitors are from the Chinese mainland.

He said it is also a good chance for the Chinese mainland fashion accessories producers to have opportunities to have presence before so much international buyers.

Explain the reason why choosing Hong Kong as the place for hosting such big fair, he said Hong Kong is the heart of Fashion Accessories procurement in Asia and many international companies have buying offices in Hong Kong. And Hong Kong is place easy and convenient for international buyers.
