Mongolian President Nambaryn Enkhbayar arrived here Sunday afternoon, starting a seven-day visit to China, also his first state visit since taking presidency in June.
Enkhbayar is expected to hold talks with Chinese President Hu Jintao and meet with other Chinese leaders including top lawmaker Wu Bangguo and Premier Wen Jiabao, sources with China's Foreign Ministry said.
Prior to his trip to China, Enkhbayar told press that Mongolia values the friendly cooperation with China and he hopes his visit would boost such cooperation, especially in the economic field.
He said he hoped Mongolia would attract more Chinese investment in the fields of railway and road construction, building of power plants and transmission network and exploitation of mineral resources.
