The first encyclopedia in minority languages in China, ��Xinjiang Encyclopedia�� written in Uighur and Kazakh, has been published recently.

Published by the Xinjiang People's Publishing House recently, the book introduces the historical development and the contemporary economy, science and technology, and culture in Xinjiang.

The book has filled a blank of encyclopedia written in minority languages, reports People's Daily on November 28.

Compilation of the book was started in 2002. The encyclopedia records the history, natural environment and social sciences of Xinjiang.
